365 Day Project: 11

I found a little humor in my image. Being from Texas this is the equivalent to a southern tardis. Dr. Pepper is my Achilles heel and it’s hard to find in restaurants in my northern area. Until we can get the funds to get back south this is like a little oasis in a frozen tundra. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried dramatic editing and I wish the framing had turned out better. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully, it won’t be so cold. Have a safe Friday evening. The hex colors for my monochromatic color palette as always listed from left to right.

365 Day Project: 10

The sun actually came out today and with the results from this morning’s weigh-in, I had other things to do first. I took the opportunity while waiting to pick up the kiddos from school to work on my perspective and composition of my project. I decided on a complementary color palette for the color theory aspect of my project. Nothing like a fence and stadium to give me a ‘Carrie’ vibe (I love horror movies as if Y’all already didn’t know. Hex codes for my color scheme are below from left to right as always. Happy Thursday everyone!

365 Day Project: 9

It’s freezing outside. I don’t mean freezing, but F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G! With temps dipping into the lower single negative digits and my eyes still feeling a little burn and blur from the dye I thought I would try a little up close photos without a macro lens. I decided that I need to get a mini tripod for my phone and a macro lens. I’m working my way towards certain gear. You can help by just buying me a coffee. Moving on, tonight’s photo (because I AM A WINTER WEINIE and I’ll own that) is a bracelet of Odin’s ravens taken indoors with minor editing. The color palette I’m absolutely in love with because it reminds me of an old detective movie. Oh, I do down save the images for better loading time across devices and to save on media space. I’m wondering though, am I developing a certain style? Should I go outside the comfort zone with editing?

365 Day Project: 8

My husband assisted in driving me around so I can continue my project. I had my eye exam this afternoon and had my eyes dilated for the first time. That sums up what I was able to see. I picked this image because the colors were easy for me to decipher shapes with my dilated pupils. I think I was even able to nail an analogous color palette. Hex colors are listed below from left to right. Off to bed to rest my eyes…more on that later. Have a great evening.

365 Day Project: 6

What a long night but I wanted to post this before collapsing in bed. I wanted to try to catch a unique angle of the bridge. I’m not too happy with this but I accept it as it was something new for me. I wish the town I lived in had just a bit more. I would kill for some decent graffiti. Maybe some food photography would help get me out of the funk. What do people take pictures of with their phones these days? I wanted to try my hand at choosing a monochrome palette for my color scheme. The hex codes are listed below from left to right. Have a great night everyone.
