3.2.1….Tomorrow Quote Me

Another fun quote challenge nominated by the creative Rory. I’m feeling drained already here at work and this is a nice break (and also makes me looks busy) so thank you, Rory, for this opportunity. My two quotes are ones that my father would tell me or anyone who was listening when he was in a few bottles. I think this is a great exercise in learning what other people value in quotes to share them.

Topic: Tomorrow

Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.

3.2.1. Quoting Me And Hope

I’m am really behind on my posts and painting but I did need some me time. The luxury of being behind is the fact that you can forget things that need to be done. I call this a luxury simply because ‘I forgot’ will sometimes suffice and in others not so much. But this time I really did forget. I have a lot of goals that I’m working towards and sometimes the goals become bigger than me.

I was nominated to do the 3.2.1 Quote me challenge created by Rory, the blogger of A Guy Called Bloke. What this means for me, giving me a chance to continue doing what I love doing (writing) that incorporates quotes. Quotes are something that can get me through some dark times but also used in sarcastic warfare. Thank you, Rory, for reminding me what I need to do…keep writing and keep going. This is also a great topic for me to use some of my favorite quotes. Hope is something that is at the time, all I have and later learn that it’s all I needed in that situation and time.

Rules: 3.2.1 Quote Me!

  • Thank the Selector
  • Post 2 quotes for the dedicated Topic of the Day.
  • Select 3 bloggers to take part in ‘3.2.1 Quote Me!’

Topic For Today (my day of nomination): “Hope”

The two that I chose kind of reflects my comic book nerd-self with my southern soul. I had to study Batman in my film appreciation class so now I get to actively watch movies and catch more meaning than an average watcher. And Gone With The Wind…Hell, I grew up on that movie and can quote lines word for word. It’s a staple movie back home along with Steel Magnolias and a couple others.

The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming. ~Harvey Dent-The Dark Knight

After all, tomorrow is another day. ~Scarlett-Gone With The Wind

My Nominees (trying not to repeat)

Happy Quoting everyone and have fun.

3..2..1..and Quote me

I have been charged with blogging about my favorite quotes (eek LOVING THIS!). It has been a bum day and I haven’t gotten to work a damn bit on my story. It’s going to be a late night but I think I’m looking forward to having a quiet house (maybe some ID TV playing in the background), my paints and doodles.

I was first nominated by an awesome fellow blogging buddy to complete this short challenge. In doing so I wandered over to the challenge’s creator’s page. His clever take on everyday situations or items is a home of honest imagination. The wit, humor, and honesty is a breath of fresh air. It’s one blog that I can smile at while reading. So, thank you Rory (reminds me of a character in a movie) over at A Guy Called Bloke for giving me another opportunity to participate but also a reprieve from my day job. Here it goes:

Topic: “The Power of One”

When truth and fairness are different from what is law, better it is to follow truth and fairness.~Bandamanna Saga, c.6

It is not the violence that sets men apart, all right, it is the distance that he is prepared to go.~ Lawless

There has been a lot that I have had to do on my own and I felt this was a great topic for my quotes. The first of Norse descent. Basically, there are times when you need to do what is right and fair despite the laws. The second from one of my all-time favorite movies. It’s one of those take as you will quote but to me, it’s saying anyone can react with violence but in the long run that may not be the answer. In truth, the two quotes really compliment each other. Both, the individual holds the ultimate decision.

My Nominees (sorry if you have already participated)
