3..2..1..and Quote me

I have been charged with blogging about my favorite quotes (eek LOVING THIS!). It has been a bum day and I haven’t gotten to work a damn bit on my story. It’s going to be a late night but I think I’m looking forward to having a quiet house (maybe some ID TV playing in the background), my paints and doodles.

I was first nominated by an awesome fellow blogging buddy to complete this short challenge. In doing so I wandered over to the challenge’s creator’s page. His clever take on everyday situations or items is a home of honest imagination. The wit, humor, and honesty is a breath of fresh air. It’s one blog that I can smile at while reading. So, thank you Rory (reminds me of a character in a movie) over at A Guy Called Bloke for giving me another opportunity to participate but also a reprieve from my day job. Here it goes:

Rules: 3.2.1 Quote Me!

  • Thank the Selector
  • Post 2 quotes for the dedicated Topic of the Day.
  • Select 3 bloggers to take part in ‘3.2.1 Quote Me!

Topic: “The Power of One”

When truth and fairness are different from what is law, better it is to follow truth and fairness.~Bandamanna Saga, c.6

It is not the violence that sets men apart, all right, it is the distance that he is prepared to go.~ Lawless

There has been a lot that I have had to do on my own and I felt this was a great topic for my quotes. The first of Norse descent. Basically, there are times when you need to do what is right and fair despite the laws. The second from one of my all-time favorite movies. It’s one of those take as you will quote but to me, it’s saying anyone can react with violence but in the long run that may not be the answer. In truth, the two quotes really compliment each other. Both, the individual holds the ultimate decision.

My Nominees (sorry if you have already participated)

The Britchy One
R.O.E
